Announcement for Know India Programme (KIP) for the year 2022-23

         

Know India Programme (KIP) is an important initiative of the Government of India to engage with youth of Indian diaspora (between 18-30 years) and connect them to India. The programme is aimed at acquainting the diaspora youth with progress made by India in various fields e.g. economic, industrial, education, science & technology, communication & information technology and culture etc.

2. KIP provides a unique forum for students and young professionals of Indian origin to visit India, share their views, expectations & experiences and to develop closer bonds with the contemporary India. The programme is open to youth of Indian origin (youth holding Indian passports are not eligible). Each KIP group includes 40 young persons. Government of India extends complete hospitality e.g., boarding and internal transportation in India, return air tickets from their country of residence to India and vice-versa provided participants bear 10% of the cost of total airfare.

3. Minimum qualification required for participating in KIP is graduation from a recognized University/ Institute enrolled for graduation and ability to speak in English. The applicant should not have visited India through any previous programme of the Government of India.

4. The next 3 KIPs (60th, 61st and 62nd) are scheduled from 25th August 2022, 26th September 2022, and 01st November 2022 respectively, details of which have already been announced by the Government of India on the KIP Portal (www.kip.gov.in). Persons desirous to participate in KIP programme may kindly visit the website and apply for suitable schedule and slot under intimation to the Embassy of India, Malabo through email address hoc[dot]malabo[at]mea[dot]gov[dot]in.
