India-Africa Maitri Scholarship Scheme for Academic Year 2024-25
The Embassy of India, Malabo has the honour to announce the India-Africa Maitri Scholarship Scheme of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) for Equatoguinean nationals for pursuing Undergraduate, Post-graduate and doctoral courses in Indian Universities for Academic Year 2024-25. The courses include science, humanities, commerce and engineering except medical studies.
2. Interested candidates can submit their application online through ICCR'S A2A scholarship portal http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in, which will be operational from 4 April 2024.
3. Applicants are advised to go through the guidelines available on A2A portal and submit the application online by 31 May 2024.
4. Applicants should exercise due diligence and research in a dedicated manner on the specific admission criteria laid down by various Universities/ Institutes for each subject, and ensure that they eligible for the course and submit all relevant documentation as required by the Universities / Institutes in addition to the basic certificates mentioned in the application form.
5. Applicant’s age should be between 18 to 40 years old at the time of the admission for UG/PG courses. In respect of PhD programme, the age limit is 50 years.
6. Applicants have the option to apply to 5 universities / institutes in the order of their preference of study. Admission to a particular educational institution / University will depend on the availability of seats and the course that have been chosen.
7. The scholarship includes return economy class air-fares to the nearest airport to the place of study, apart from tuition fees paid to the institute and a monthly stipend.
8. Only students proficient in English may apply for admission since the courses will be taught in English. A 500-word essay in English has been introduced to ascertain English proficiency. Besides, students can also submit their TOEFL or IELTS etc standardized test scores, if available.
9. Personal medical insurance (with minimum sum assured of Rs. 5 lakh p.a.) is a mandatory requirement for availing ICCR scholarship. ICCR will not be offering medical coverage.
10. Once the application has been submitted online, applicants must regularly check the A2A portal and their email for any updates.
